Productivity and Rewards
Both reading and listening discuss the idea of how rewards can affect the productivity in the work.
First, according to the reading, the theory is great because people repeat the action of being productive when they are rewarded. However, the listening passage states that in general, people prefer abstract things like respect instead financial rewards.
Second, the text suggests the use of books about how gain productivity in your work by applying their concepts. In contrast, the lecturer mentions there are not studies about the positive impact between the performance and the reward system to upgrade the productivity of companies.
Third, the reading passage states that the use of external motivation sometimes is necessary to work harder. However, in the listening passage mentions the workers habitually feel a sensation of being manipulated or punish by their bosses.
To sum up, this is how the listening passage causes doubts on the point made in the reading passage.
