It is observable from the bar graph that for in the past population in Japan followed rising trend, but after some years it followed decreasing trend up-to the end of the period. Also, the percentage of population whose age is 65 years or over is increasing throughout the period.
It is clear from the bar graph that in the year 1950 the population of Japan was 84.1 millions. It followed increasing trend and achieved its maximum in the year 2005 at 127.8 millions. After 2005 the population in Japan followed downward trend. Moreover, it will follow downward in future also. The population Japan in 2055 will be 89.9 millions.
However, In the year 1950 the population aged 65 years or over in Japan was 4.1 millions and their percentage was 4.9% of the total population. It followed upward trend throughout the period, Which will achieve its maximum value in 2055 at 36.5 millions at 41% of total population.
