You are renting a flat from an agency. Your contract was for one year but you need to leave the flat two months early. Write a letter to the agency. In your letter

Dear Mr. Smith,
I am a renter of your flat where is 6132 Francis Road in Richmond. I am writing with regard to ask you for a favour due to an emergency situation, However, I have to move out of this flat from the beginning of October to the end of November.
As you know I rented this flat three years ago, and there is everything going well. Yet I am terribly sorry about I have to move soon, unfortunately, I heard from my family about my grandmother passed away yesterday. I would go back to my home country to help the transitional funeral, normally, for which requires at least one and a half months. My mother feels extremely dispirited now, so I would stay by her side for a while in these tough times and leave my flat soon.
I understand that we signed a rental agreement as one year until the end of November. Although I know I need to give three months’ notice before leaving the flat as the contract mention, I think that I cannot wait that long. So, please feel free to keep the deposit of one month to break the contract, and return another month’s deposit to me for considering my tough situation. Or, you have any good ideas about it, please feel free to let me know.
I apologize once again and hope I am not causing you too much inconvenience.
Yours sincerely,
Emma
