The given bar chart compares the USA people's frequency of eating at fast-food restaurants from 2003 to 2013.
Overall, it is clear that over the years, while most people in the USA chose to eat at fast-food restaurants once a week, the percentage of people who ate at such places daily is the lowest among all categories.
In 2003, over 30% of people in the USA went to such restaurants once a week. This figure grew by nearly 3% in the following three years, but then fall significantly to only 28% at the end of the period. Also, the percentage of those who ate in fast food restaurants several times a week shared the same trend, increasing from 17% in 2003 to 20% in 2006 and dropping to 16% in 2013. Nevertheless, people who ate at these places at least once a month made up to 30% of the USA people in 2003 and reached a peak of 33% in 2013 despite a dramatic decline to 25% in 2006.
In contrast, there were approximately 4% of people in the USA eating at fast-food restaurants every day in 2003; however, this figure then dropped by 1% in the next three years and stayed unchanged until 2013. Similarly, the percentage of people who never ate at fast-food restaurants decreased from 5% in 2003 to 4% in 2006 and stayed stable until 2013. The opposite trend was witnessed in the percentage of people who only eat at such restaurants a few times a year, increasing from 13% in 2003 to 15% in 2006 and remained steady until 2013.
