The graph below shows the number of visitors to three museums between 2000and 2005.
The given bar graph illustrates information about how many people visited three museums on a yearly basis, namely MET, New York, Edo-Tokyo and National, China, over a five-year period from 2000 to 2005. The number of visitors are given in millions.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there were considerable upward trends in the guests of both MET of New York and National museum of China, while the number of people who visited Edo-Tokyo Museum saw a substantial fall over the period in question. Another interesting point is that people visited Edo-Tokyo more in 2000, but in 2005, National Museum of China became the most popular.
Looking at the details, as regards National museum of China, at around 6 million of people visited it in 2000, and there was a dramatic rise to approximately 11 millions. Having remained stable until 2004, it then rocketed to just under 16 millions. If we look at the trend of MET in New York, it started at 12 millions. Then there was a sharp decrease to 6 million of visitors in 2001, at which point it levelled off until 2002. Finally, it jumped, reaching at 14 millions in 2005.
By contrast, the rate of Edo-Tokyo went in the opposite site, which began at just over 13 millions. Having stained constant until 2001, it then declined significantly to about 6 millions. Finally, it grew gradually, achieving at 10 million of visitors in 2005.
