The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The chart illustrates the export earnings of varied products in billions of a country within 2015 and 2016, followed by the table detailing the variations in the percentage of those products in the mentioned years.
In general, the vast majority of exports showed an upward trend in the latter year. The highest-earning would be the petroleum products with around 63 billion, followed by the second-highest, the engineering equipment with around 61 billion. The third would be the gems sector although it is the sole sector with slightly decreased profit in two years. In terms of percentage, the demand for textiles witnessed an obvious increase with 15.24%, despite being the export Category with the lowest earning in the overall survey-period. The engineering goods have a higher rate of demand as the second ( 8.5%). The only category that experienced a decline in demand is the jewelry export with 5.18%.
Overall, the country has increased in its export earnings in 2016, with four out of five sectors; statistically mentioning. The highest-earning in billions does not necessarily mean the highest in the percentage change.
