The line graph depicts figures and kinds of junk food consumption by Australian adolescents over the period from 1975 and 2000. Overall, it can be clearly seen that there was an upward trend of consuming pizza and hamburgers between 1975 and 2000, while the number of fish and chips consumed yearly experienced a decrease.
According to the graph, it is clear that consumption of fish and chips were quite popular among Australian teenagers, and it was eaten 100 times per year in 1975s. Over the period from 1975 to 1980, popularity of fish and chips decreased slightly from 100 to around 82 times per year. After that, in the following 5 years, fish and chips experienced an increase. Then, the situation changed completely, the trend for fish and chips reached a low of approximately 40 times per year in 2000.
On the other hand, in 1975, pizza and hamburgers were not so popular as fish and chips, and were eaten nearly 10 times per year. However, between 1975 and 1985, hamburgers popularity climbed sharply from 10 to just over 83 times per year. Then, the ratio of hamburgers fluctuated slightly between 1985 to 2000. Moreover, in the following 20 years, demand for pizza increased gradually from 10 to 83 times per year. After that, the number of pizzas eaten per year remained unchanged from 1995 to 2000.
