The graph describes the average prices of houses in sometown in 2005
The line graph compares the average prices between the houses on the market and those were already sold over the six-month period.
Overall, the average price of unsold-properties was higher than purchased-houses throughout the entire period. It can clearly be seen that unsold houses had their priced down, while the figure for purchased houses fluctuated in 2005.
In the first three months, there was a downward trend in the price of houses on the market, with the number fell from above 330 thousand in July to 320 thousand in September. In contrast, the actual selling price of houses was quite stable at the same period, experiencing a slight growth to above 300 thousand from July and it bottomed out at 290 thousand in September.
From this point onward, the figures for unsold houses rose back to the same level as in August in October, before it fell to 320 thousand after November and December. However, houses were bought at the same price between September and October, at 290 thousand, following a growth to about 300 thousand in November and another increase in December(just under 310 thousand).
