Overall, In both town A and town B, the proportion of worker employing in the Manufacturing sector increased from 1960 to 2010. Meanwhile, it was witnessed a decrease in the rate of people working in the Sales over that period.
When it comes to the growth, in town A, the proportion of people having a job in the Manufacturing significantly rose from 29 percent to 64 percent between the year 1960 and the year 2010. Similarly, in town B, that rate also increased from 10 percent to 25 percent from 1960 to 2010. However, it was only seen a slight increase in the percentage of people employing in the Services sector in town B from 20 percent to 22 percent between 1960 and 2010.
In terms of the decrease, in town A, the proportion of people working in both the Sales and Services sector experienced a double drop from 41 percent to 20 percent and from 30 percent to 16 percent over the course of 50 years starting from the year 1960, respectively. It can be seen a similar decrease in the percentage of people working in the Services sector in town B from 70 percent to 53 percent between 1960 and 2010.
