The bar charts below show the percentages of men and women in employment in three countries in 2005 and 2015
The bar graph compares the proportion of both genders who were having jobs in Canada, South Korea and Sweden for the year 2005 and a decade later.
Overall, it can be manifested that more men had job compared to women in all the countries. Notably, there was also an increase for all the data except for males of Sweden.
First of all, in 2005, the highest proportion of employment rates were for Swedish men and women with figures of 78% and 45% respectively. Whereas, almost two out of three men in Canada had jobs, which was the least and the figures for female were 38%. Following this, in the next decade, figures of men in Sweden and Canada were exactly the same (70%), where the former one had alleviated by 8% and the latter one augmented by the same proportion.
Secondly, the employment figures in South Korea were the second highest for men in 2005 which further rose and became the highest in 2015 with figures rising from three quarters to 78% during the decade. Even though the employment figures for females had a rise, it still remained the lowest with figures of 30% and
35%.
