You recently went to a public event (for example an exhibition, festival, or show) that you think your friend would enjoy. Write a letter to a friend.
In your letter:
- tell your friend what the event was
-explain why you think your friend would like the event
- invite them to come to the event with you
Dear John,
It was great to get a call from you yesterday. I'm writing to tell you about a cultural event that Tracy and I attended last week and wanted to invite you and Emma next month for this event.
As for the event, it is conducted during winters in the slap-bang of the city by my Engineering college students and is fun-filled with various cultural events, folk dance, art exhibition, and last but not the least a large variety of mouth-watering food options are also available at the venue.
As I know, you and Emma are big food lovers and love to explore different cultures. You'll definitely enjoy visiting this event as it'll not only offer you a variety of delicious cuisines but also help you in preparing your project thesis which you are writing on different cultures across the globe. Furthermore, you'll witness the most aesthetically pleasing art exhibition.
Having said that, I'd like to invite you to this wonderful cultural event. While we were studying together last year, you promised to visit me and believe me this is the best time of the year to come to India. We would be honored to have you and Emma as our guests for this entire stay here. I assure you this event would be the most memorable event of your life.
Hoping to see you soon!
Yours lovingly,
Adam
