The bar graph shows key data on the proportion of females and males who passed their driving test in an Asian nation over a 30-year period from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the percentage of women having driving licence outnumbered that of men during the time frame. Another interesting point is that both the figures witnessed an upward trend over the given period.
Looking at the details, as regards females, nearly a half of them passed the driving test in 1980, at which point the figure started to increase rapidly to well under 70% in 2000. This was followed by a slight decline of 5% to just over three-fifths at the end of the period.
With regards to males, it can be clearly seen that the proportion of men passing the driving examination in 1980 was well above a quarter, which is about half as many as that of women at the same time. After that, it began to experience a progressive growth and the figure reached approximately a half by the year 2000, after which it levelled off until 2010.
