The pie charts give the information about the ages of the populations of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and projections for 2050.
In 2000, Yemen was mainly dominated by 0-14 years age group with more than half but in 2050 this scenario is expected to change with the domination by 15-59 years group with 57.3%. The total population of age group 60+ was significantly low in Yemen in 2000 with only 3.6% and same minority is expected in 2050 with marginal rise to 5.7%.
In Italy, the domination was mainly by 15-59 years age group with 61.6% in 2000 but in 2050 it is expected to decline to 46.2%, however, this age group is still expected to be majority. Unlike Yemen, 60+ age group was considerably higher in number in 2000 with 24.1% and surprisingly this figure is expected to rise dramatically to reach 42.3% in 2050. Unexpectedly, 0-14 years age group was minority in Italy in 2000 with just 14.3% and same is expected in 2050 with even lower figure of 11.5%.
