The given bar chart illustrates the number of mobile phone sold all over the world by the top five brands, namely Samsung, Apple, Nokia, Lg and ZTE in three years: 2009, 2011 and 2013.
Overall, it is clear that there was an upward trend in the global sales of Samsung, Apple and ZTE while the opposite was true with the other two brands.
Samsung was seen a significant increase by about 100 sales from 2009 to 2011 and hit the highest point of 450 in 2013. Similarly, the number of phones sold by Apple went up dramatically from about 25 in 2009 to nearly 100 in 2011. This figure continued to rise up to 150 in the last year. Moreover, ZTE was seen a slight increase from 50 to about 70 during the whole period times.
In contrast, Nokia was witnessed a marginal decrease from 440 to 420 between 2009 and 2011 and reach its lowest point at 250 in the final year. This data was the same with LG. There was a moderate decline in its sales from 120 to 80 over the period
