The diagram illustrates the way rainwater is collected and reused for various purposes.
Overall, the process begins with rainwater falls to the ground and ends with sending it via drains to the river.
When the rain falls, it increases the level of water in the dam and starts streaming for a period. At the next stage, the rain pumped from the barrier is treated by the treatment plant to make it drinkable. The purified water then is released to the house for consumption while the wastewater is sent back to the treatment plant so that people can reuse it. The excess treated water, on the contrary, is piped back into the river.
The rainwater that runs from the rooftop of the house is also stored in a tank next to the habitation and used for household purposes. Meanwhile, surface water in the form of stormwater is preserved and made to flow directly into waterways.
