In general, what stands out from the group is that the proportions of men who are able to read and write in all seven regions and the world average were higher than the figure for women. It is also clear to see that both men and women in the region 6 registered the highest percentages.
Looking at the graph, the percentage of men who can read and write in the region 6 was the highest, at around 70% of total people. By contrast, the figure for the region 1 was recorded the lowest, at well under 50%. The three number of men in the region 5,6,7 were higher than that of the average world which was at 65%.
About the women, the lowest number of people who can read and write was in the region 2, under 40%. Compared with the average world, the only figure for the region 6 was higher than that, at 63% and 59% respectively.
