The diagrams illustrate the depelopment of Islip town in the future counting from now.
It can be seen clearly that there are still not many facilities evolved nowadays, especially the existence of the countryside area on top of the first map. In the center, the main road is surrounded by shops running along 2 sides of the street. Besides, it is also constructed housing, park and school by the south of the town.
On the flip side, the second map shows us a more complex structure of entire Islip town centre. It seems that people will invest for a dual carrigeway with all necessities located in the heart of the road and the countryside will vanish in this period. According to the plan, main road will be changing into area for pedestrians only. Although there still have shops in one side of the street, the other will be filled with dense service systems consisting of bus station, shopping centre, car park and new housing. Things keep sustainable in the south pinprick.
In conclusion, changes into dual carriageway and infrastructure make this project a significant evolution of Islip town centre.
