The Two Pie Charts Below Show Some Employment Patterns in Great Britain in 1992
Given are two pie charts depicting the distribution of both gender workers in six categories of manual and non-manual sectors in Great Britain in 1992.
It is conspicuous that clerical or related accounted for the highest proportion of female workers, while working in other non-manual occupations comprised the vast majority in male employees.
When it comes to manual jobs, general laborers took up the most minority with 1% for women and 2% for men while the reverse was true for craft workforce with 27% for females, higher 1% than that of male. Additionally, the significant differences between two genders was the proportion of laborers employed in other manual positions with men was 24% higher threefold than women’s.
Regarding non-manual jobs, over one third of men working as managerial and professional was recorded in comparison with 29% in women workers. Meanwhile, the opposite was true for clerical and other non-manual jobs with the percentage of female workers higher than that of male with 31% and 9% respectively as opposed to 6% in these occupations of men workers.
