The graph illustrates the number of visitors traveling to a precise Caribbean island from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, it is clear that the total number of travelers going to this island increased steadily. While the number of visitors staying on cruise ships rose significantly, the figure for travelers staying on the island underwent a more moderate increase.
In the years 2010 and 2013, the overall number of individuals traveling to the island grew up considerably, from 1 to 2 million. While the number of people on cruise ships oscillated from 2010 to 2013, (merely 0.3 million in 2010 and 2012, and around 0.5 million in 2011 and 2013), the visitors to the island stayed stable between 2010 and 2011 with about 0.7 million and then rose significantly to 1.5 million in 2013.
Continually, from 2013 to 2017 the total number of travelers on the Caribbean island increased to 3.5 million, except in the years 2015 and 2016 which remained at around 2.7 million. The individuals residing on the island stayed unchanged at 1.5 million between 2013 and 2015, and fluctuated from 2015 to 2017, finally reaching 1.5 million again in 2017. Conversely, the number of visitors on cruise ships climbed steadily to 1.3 million by 2015 and reached a peak in 2017 of 2 million.
