It can be seen that Local-fixed line calls of the UK was the highest in the given period. Starting from approximately 70b minutes in 1995, Local-fixed line calls increased steadily, reaching just under 90b minutes in 1999. After peaking 90b minutes in 1999, local calls fell back to 70b minutes at the end of the year.
In term of National and International-fixed line calls, it grew gradually from about 38b minutes to 60b minutes from 1995 to 2002. Between 2001 and 2002, there was only a mere increase with 1b minutes from 60b to 61b minutes.
With regard to Mobiles, it was the least calls in UK with less than 5b minutes in 1995. Moreover, there was a significant increase in mobiles from approximately 2b minutes to 45b minutes from the beginning of the year to 2002. From 2000 to 2001, there was a double increase with about 20b to 40b minutes.
Overall, the trend of National and International and Mobiles had a huge increase throughout this given period. Although the local fixed line calls decreased, it still the most popular telephone calls in the UK.
