AUSTRALIAN SECONDARY SCHOOL GRADUATES STEREOTYPES
The piecharts indicate the percentage of graduates of secondary school who were unemployed, employed or moved up to further education in Australia over the period of 20 years.
The initial impression from the charts is that the rate of Australia’s pupil graduating from secondary school and going straight to further studies declined significantly during the whole stage. By contrast, the number of Australian secondary school graduates who applied for a job experience an upward trend over the period shown.
In 1980, most of the graduates in Australia’s secondary school went to further education, which was fivefold in comparison with the jobless in Australia. However, this figure was less than the proportion of graduates in Australia’s secondary school that are employed in 1990 and 2000. Meanwhile, starting at 40% in 1980 and then roaring in 2000, the employed after graduating secondaryc school was accounted for the highest percentage.
Referring to the unemployed graduates in Australia, the number of that surged minimally between 1980 and 1990, but later fell sharply over the last 10 years and took up the lowest percentage.
