Given is the line graph depicting the Japanese middling monthly income in the period from 1953 to 1983, and the costs of black and white television and color television at the same time.
Looking at the line graph, it is immediately obvious that although the appearance of black and white television was fomer than color television about 8 years, the price got a color televison that was always higher than one.
Perceptibly, the first modern televison was black and white that reached highest price in 1953 with 110 thousands Yen. However, it declined rapidly to 40 thousands Yen in nearly 1958 before hitting a low of 20 thousands Yen in 1983. The innovation of black and white television was color television. It was also the reason why the cost of black and white television went downhill without a brake. In order to purchase a color television, the budget was 100 thousands Yen. Notwithstanding, there was a dramatic drop to approximately 68 thousands Yen in 1970 after which it went to 49 thousand in 1983.
On the other hand, the income of japanese in 1953 was nearly one sixths to black and white television, the ensuing years recorded a gradual climb to 32 thousands Yen in 1975 before reaching the highest salary in 1983.
