The given bar chart reveals the differences between the proportion of females and males in terms of different post-school qualifications in Australia in 1999.
Overall, the men had the highest share in three qualifications out of five, while women ranked first in two. By far the highest proportions for men and women were in skilled vocational diploma and undergraduate diploma, respectively.
Looking at the chart thoroughly, there was a significant difference between the percentages of male and females in skilled vocational diploma.The former stayed first, accounting for 90%. Moreover, the figures for undergraduate diploma and postgraduate diploma had almost the same disparity, in the former the highest share belonged to women with 70% , while men were responsible for the highest proportion in the latter with 70%.
As for the women, they also ranked first in Bachelor's degree, whereas the share of men was lower by a narrow margin, showing 55% and 45% , respectively.Meanwhile, in Master's degree , the contribution of female was lower by 20 % compared to males.
