the diagrams below show two methods of collecting water for irrigation purposes.
summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
These two diagrams illustrate the different methods of collecting water from the ground to the irrigation channels.
The swing basket is used to collect water from the ground that is one to two meters deep. Firstly, two people use the bamboo or the leather basket connected to the ropes. Then, they hold the ropes and collect the water and use their strength to swing to the irrigation channels that flow into the field.
In contrast, the rope and the pulley is connected and pulled by an ox. Because an ox has a stronger body than humans so that it can collect water from 50-meter well. The pulley is connected to an ox and when it goes down, the bucket is also rosen up. After that, it pours to the irrigation channels and flows to the farmland.
In conclusion, these methods work effectively. Both are used to collect water from the deep ground. However, they also depend on the power and the depth where they collect the water.
