By contrast, in Hong Kong the greatest proportion was on housing, at 32%, compared to 18% in Britain. The next highest was on food at 27% in Hong Kong, but in Britain it was lower, at 22% for food. Another expenses in Britain was transport, at 17%, whereas in Hong Kong it was a lot smaller, at 9%.
