There are several factors that motivate people to stay in the workforce, and money is the most important reason/factor. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Opinions are divided as to motivations that make people commit to an entity. Among a plethora of factors, money is considered the most significant one. Personally, I partly agree with this position.
There are numerous reasons why monetary matters are taken into consideration when it comes to occupational contentment, one of which is its functional role in people's daily life. More specifically, money is a major contributor to people's well-being as it not only ensures their access to basic amenities but also grants them empowers to lead more fulfilling lives. For instance, with a desired income, people could pay for high-quality food items or medical services to have a decent health. Should people stay healthy, they can function more properly, thereby giving their lives a sense of enjoyment. Another justification is that monetary benefits embody the corporation's recognition and appreciation with regard to a job holder's contributions. Knowing that their assiduity and dedication are valued, workers will be less likely to think of job-hopping.
The tenure of an employee is also determined by non-monetary factors such as working environment. For some people, a workstation where they could feel free to communicate with their colleagues or managers is a prerequisite as such environment would enable them to exhange their ideas and learn from each other. An inspiring environment would irrefutably empower them to broaden their perspectives and develop their creavity. In the long run, these attributes could turn them into well-rounded individuals, rendering them satisfied.
In sum, for the reasons mentioned above, it is my contention that beside earnings, workers also place emphasis on different factors.
