Overall, Australian females often do more exercises than males in most of the age groups apart from the 15 to 24 group. It is also clear that the most significant disparity between the percentage of Australian men and women doing regular physical activity was seen in the figure of the 35 to 44 group.
About 53,3% of Australian women, who were 45 to 54 years old, did physical activities regularly, compared to 53% and 47,1% in the figures of 55 to 64-year-old women and 65 and over-year-old females respectively. Conversely, the percentage of Australian 65 and over-year-old males and 55 to 64-year-old males was higher than that of the 45 to 54-year-old males, with respective figures being 46,7%, 45,1%, and 43,1%.
The percentage of women doing regular physical activities in the 35 to 44 age group was 52,5%, followed by women in the 25 to 34 and 15 to 24 age groups at 48,9% and 47,7% in that order. Australian males doing physical activities most regularly in the 15 to 24 age group, while the figures for the 25 to 34 and 35 to 44 age groups were lower at 42,2% and 39,5% respectively.
