Given is the line graph depicting the rate of population falling into the 65 and over age bracket in three separate nations: USA, Sweden and Japan over a century, commencing with the year 1940.
Perceptibly, all of the populations in the three aforementioned countries witnessed a significant upswing throughout the period. Moreover, Japan’s figure, despite being the lowest at the beginning, was the highest at its conclusion.
It is evident that merely 5% of the population in Japan was in the 65 and over age group in the year 1940. Interestingly, this figure slightly fluctuated prior to remaining at the same level for the next 60 years. Thereafter, it surprisingly experienced a drastic leap to report at 27% in 2040. Besides, the proportion of people 65 and over in Sweden was recorded at a loftier point than in Japan, with 8% in the first year. Subsequently, this data multiplied by 14% in 2000, and at the end it witnessed an exponential leap to 25%.
Furthermore, the USA ranked first at the beginning of the examined year, attaining 9%. Additionally, it registered at the same rate as Sweden in the year 2000, at 14%. This
