The chart below shows the number of Internet users in three different countries and the world average between 1998 and 2013. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart indicates the amount of people who had access to the Internet in Greece, Denmark, Canada and the global average between 1998 and 2013.
Overall, we can see that the number of Internet users in Denmark and Canada always dominated in the 15-year period. In contrast, Greece had fewer users, which was close to the world average, but both gradually increased just as the other countries did.
To be more specific, the figure for Danish using the Internet rose by 4 times during 15 years, which was 23000 people at the beginning to 95000 people. In 1998, it had the second highest number of Internet users, but it had surpassed Canada by 1003. While growth after 2003 for Canada was slow. The nation’s overall number of users ultimately expanded by more than threefold from 1998 to 2013. Besides, the number of Greek, who used the Internet went up by 20000 users every 5 years. Although the world average climbed as well, moving from about 3000 users to 35000 users, the gap between it and the three countries included in the chart had widened at the end of the period in question.
