When choosing a job, the salary is the most important consideration.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In contemporary society, the priority of remuneration has often been a bone of contention. A prevalent assertion exists that salary, above other factors, is the most recognisable feature of a desirable job. I partially concur with this belief regarding the merits of being well-paid that this discourse will expound on.
To begin with, it is irrefutable that payment is elemental in every job, strongly affecting people’s choice of an occupation, a company, or a position. This perspective is comprehensible as a good income offers employees much better living conditions, namely freedom and financial security, by providing a multitude of choices, thereby enabling them to live where they want, fulfill their needs, and indulge in their interests. Furthermore, a high salary also exerts pressure and motivation on some, making them work harder, and dedicate themselves to their jobs, thus remarkably boosting their performance; in turn, these workers are more able to yield fruitful results than those with low pay.
However, earnings will engender negative effects if put in top priorities. For instance, some people are obsessed with monetary gain and make too much effort to succeed in their business, abandoning other facets regarding health, social relationships, etc. Consequently, they will suffer work pressure and nervous breakdown as a result of long-term overworking. Moreover, people should take some factors other than remuneration into consideration before taking a job, for example, the working environment or business terms and conditions. Ultimately, applicants will build a successful and steady career if they acknowledge these aspects.
In closing, deeming work pay’s crucial role, I agree that it is a predominant part of a job. Meanwhile, it is advisable for workers to control salary’s influence on themselves, hence avoiding worrisome issues and succeeding in their jobs.
