The maps below show the layouts of the nature Museum between 2010 and 2013.
The two maps illustrate the arrangements of nature museum between the year 2010 and 2013.
Overall, the museum had undergone striking renovations, with the most prominent being the clearance of the garden to make space for the expansion of the building.
In 2010, there was a big garden covered almost a half of the area on the left of the map. Starting from the main entrance, visitors would step into the main lobby where the ticket desk was located on the left-front of the entrance. The Ocean Hall, which was connected with the lobby by a door, situated to the back of the museum. There was a Dinosaurs exhibition to the left of the lobby next , and a Mammals area on the top right of the map.
In 2013, the big garden had been chopped down to make way for a number of accommodations including a shop on the right-front of the entrance and a cafe to the right of it. The Mammals area was relocated on the top left of the map, and a Human Origins Display had been established between the Mammals and the new cafe. The Ocean Hall had been expanded to as big as the width of the lobby. The Ice Age display, where it used to be the Mammals exhibition, had been built and extended with a small Insect display to the bottom left corner of it, whereas the dinosaurs still remained intact.
