Overall, it can be seen clearly that these emissions saw a downward trend in United Kingdom and Sweden while it the opposite was true that it rose slightly in Portugal and Italy.
First, these emissions had a decline in the UK and Sweden. In United Kingdom, it was approximately 11%. An unchanged remain was seen in the next 10 years. It had a minimal decrease from 1977 to 2007. In 2007, it went down about 8%. Sweden had witnessed a sharp rise in 1977. In 1977, it was in the highest point, above 10%. Then it fell sharply until 1987. A steady fall was seen until 2007, about two times less than in the year 1977.
Second, on the another countries including Portugal and Italy rose slightly through every 10 years. In Portugal, started at 1.5% in 1967, it saw a minimal increase through 20 years. It went up remarkably until 1997. After that, the figures for these CO2 emissions remain unchanged. In 2007, it could be 5.5%. In Italy, a sharp climb to 6% from 1967 to the next decade. Then a gradual growth in 30 years until 1997. It remained stable when it showed the last data in 2007. In 2007, it was nearly 8%, which was two times as high as when it was in 1967.
