The charts below show the results of a questionnaire that asked visitors to the Parkway Hotel how they rated the hotel’s customer service. The same questionnaire was given to 100 guests in the years 2005 and 2010.
The pie charts compare the visitors’ satisfaction to a survey about the customer service of a hotel in two different years 2005 and 2010.
It is clear that overall the customer’s satisfaction increased significantly over the period of 5 years. While the majority of guests rated service of the hotel was satisfactory or poor in 2005, the most visitors went to the hotel felt its service was excellent or good.
For the positive responses, in 2005, only 5% of hotel guests rated the hotel service was excellent, but this figure increased considerably to 28% in 2010. Furthermore, the proportion of visitors described the service as good was 14%, the number of those rose to 39%, nearly three times over the following 5 years.
For the negative responses, we can see that the percentage of guests rated the hotel’s customer service as poor accounted for 21% of the total in 2005, but the figure fell to 12% in 2010. While 15% of visitors considered the service of the hotel as very poor, the number of people who have the same rating decreased to only 4% in 2010. Finally, the number of visitors rated ‘satisfactory’ dropped to 17% and that shows more and more people described the customer service of the hotel as good or excellent.
