The chart below illustrates one nation’s export revenue from a diversity of products during 2015 and 2016 and the table data presents the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Upon analyzing the data, it becomes evident that petroleum products and engineered goods generated most of the export income of this nation. In addition, despite contributing the smallest earnings, textiles experienced the greatest increase rate from 2015 to 2016.
In terms of revenue proportion during the two recorded years, this country earned the most money from exporting petroleum products and engineered goods, with the former category having slightly higher income (above 60 billion dollars in 2015 and nearly 65 billion dollars in 2016) than the latter one (above 55 billion dollars in 2015 and 60 billion dollars in the next year). Gems and jewellery ranked third which contributed to the national budget of above 40 billion dollars each year followed by agricultural products with above 30 billion dollars per year. Meanwhile, textiles made the smallest contribution to the national wealthy with 25 billion dollars in 2015 and reached the same level with agricultural goods at above 30 billion dollars.
Regarding to growth rate of each exported category from 2015 to 2016, it is noticeable that the least valued industry which was textile saw the greatest increase rate with 15.24% while petroleum products which was the largest income-generating source rose modestly by 3%. The engineered goods sector was ranked second with a growth rate of 8.5% and agricultural products seemed to stay stable with quite a small changing rate of 0.81% while there was a decreasing pattern of 5.18% in the revenue of gems and jewelry export.
