The prevailing mode of transportation relies heavily on fossil fuel-powered vehicles, prompting calls for regulation. Many experts advocate for electric cars as a viable alternative. In my view, I am thoroughly convinced by the concept, given the worsening state of global warming and its detrimental effects on our planet. Moreover, electric cars contribute significantly to preserving public health in various aspects of life.
Firstly, It is undeniable that global warming is altering our lives negatively day by day. A primary reason behind this could be car prices are gradually becoming more affordable for the residents. This means too many cars on the road will emit Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere and exacerbate the greenhouse effect, making the climate warmer and a host of issues such as ice melting, rising sea levels, air pollution, etc…For example, numerous studies have claimed that the global average temperature has been persistently soaring over a few decades. They stated that the extent of ice melting at the South and North poles correlates with the level of heat absorbed during the survey period.
On the other hand, Electric cars contribute to safeguarding public health. Since electric cars do not emit any toxic gases into the air. They reduce a significant number of patients with respiratory ailments. additionally, electric cars generate less noise than conventional vehicles so resulting in reduced noise pollution, which significantly benefits people who are suffering from auditory disorders or noise-related insomnia. For instance, since the adaptation of electric vehicles in Danang three months ago. Statistics have shown a significant decrease in lung cancer patients admitted to the Oncology department. This addresses the benefits of electric vehicles on residents’ longevity.
In conclusion, I admit that overhauling the entire transportation system could be a daunting task. However, the benefits it offers outweigh the drawbacks as it not only puts a halt to global warming but also improves people’s living standards specifically their well-being states.
