The bar chart illustrate statistics on the visits to three different museums from 2000 to 2005.
Overall, the MET museum of New York and the National in China increased their visitor numbers over the period, whereas Edo-Tokyo followed a decreasing trend.
Firstly, the strongest growth was the one of the National museum in China. In 2000, its visitors were just over 6 millions, but over the years they raised almost steadily. Despite remaining constant at 11 in 2003 and 2004, they reached the maximum value in the graph at nearly 16 millions.
Secondly, MET and Edo-Tokyo numbers were more erratic during the years. While the former reported a raise of more than 2 millions over the 5 years, the latter lost almost 4 millions of visitors. MET went down from 12 millions to half that number during 2001 and remained constant at this value in 2002 before rising to more than 14 millions. Conversely, Edo Tokio had the highest frequencies of visits during both 2000 and 2001 but then slipped to approximatively 6 millions in 2003, reaching 10 millions in 2005.
