Overall, Nokia dominated the internation mobile phone market in 2005 and its market share expanded in 2006.
The performance of Nokia was outstanding in 2005 with a dominant 32.5% of total worldwide market. Besides, saling in 2006 was also promising with 2.5% increase in international mobile phone market share. Motorola was the second large cell phone manufacture in 2005 with 17.7% of universal market share. In addition, market share of Motorola increased dramatically to 21.1% in the following year.
Samsung ranked the third position in globke market share with 12.7% in 2005. However, unlike Nokia and Motarola, its market share dropped slightly to 11.8% in 2006. Sinilarily, BenQ Mobile lost its international market share from 4.9% in 2005 to 2.4% in 2006. Other companies did not vary much in the precentage of market share.
