In the reading author says that because of mankind crowed rising in the united state during the late century some factors such as pesticide using increasing because of agriculture development affect animals life, especially birds. According to the reading these declining is continuing. In the lecture professor argues that not only birds population hasn't been decreasing but also their crowed has been rising because of these factors. Professor disagrees and says this factor cause population of some other bird type increase. According to the professor by civilization some birds habitation increase and as a result their and total population of birds increase.
Author also says that by population increase need to agriculture also increase and so many natural lands especially birds habitats should be destroyed to dominate land for agriculture. In this issue professor disagrees again and expresses that in the U.S less and less land is using for agriculture every years because instead of land increasing the introduction of more productive which product more crop is used to increase agriculture yield. According of the professor by using this strategy more production will be yield in each km2 without wasting more birds habitats.
Finally, reading also says that pesticides using for agriculture production protection also has a negative effect on birds population. According to the reading pesticides toxic component can inter to water and small animals during food chain which birds use these two for feeding and harm because of their pesticides ingredients. Lecture says nowadays less toxic pesticide are being developing and changed genetic plants without pesticides attractive ability is producing. According to the professor these two change cause pesticides be less at dangerous for birds.
