The charts below show the results of a survey about what people of different age groups say makes them most happy.
The given pie charts represent the factors making people the happiest in five broad categories, divided into people under 30 and people over 30.
As it can be seen, achievement at work seizes the majority in both charts, while having a good appearance and travelling replaced by financial security and being with family for people over 30.
Firstly, according to first pie chart (people under 30), achievement at work has the highest proportion with nearly one-third (31%), whilst all other factors following each other with close proximity in which doing hobbies is under a quarter (22%), having a good appearance with 18%, travelling with 15% and finally other factors takes the lowest percentage with 14.
Secondly, the figure in the second pie chart (people over 30) almost stays the same but only having a good appearance and travelling are replaced by financial security and being with family. The achievement at work keeps the first position with nearly a third (32%), doing hobbies showed a slight increase and became roughly a quarter (24%), financial security is at 20% and finally being with family and other factors make up 14% and 10% respectively.
