The graph below compares changes in the birth rates of China and the USA between 1920 and 2000
The presented line chart depicts the difference of the birth rates between China and USA in the period from 1920 to 2000.
Overall, it experienced a remarkable decreas comparing to that of in the first year.
In 1920, the birth proportion of USA stayed at 12%, followed by one of China at 10 out of 100. After that, both of which fluctuated from 1920 to 1930 and stood at the same point in the year 1920. In 1935, the China’s birth rates reached significantly at peak (15%), whereas USA saw a slight increase by 2%. After having witnessed a dramatical drop to 5 out of 100 in 1940, the birth percentage in China not changed between 1940 and 1945. On the other hand, therre was a tremendous reduction of 5% in the birth rates of USA in the year 1945.
In the following years, not only the USA’s birth rates but also China’s birth rates climbed dramatically to peak, at 15% and 25% respectively in 1950. Interestingly, during the last fifty years, both of which decreased significantly and stayed at 3% (the birth propotion of China) and 7% ( USA’s birth rates).
