the passage give information about how genetic modification of trees can be help farmers and human beings while the lecturer challange mostly all good points that was mentioned before in the reading text.
to be specefic ,while one of the majar benifit of genetic modification in the writter view was that trees ,which are bieng genetically improved, are designed to survive hardier than nature trees; the lecturer belive that it is not a correct statment because they are just being created for some pertecuilar condition and they can't surpass all the unpredicted sitiations.in addition nature trees have so many species of one kind which they can surive diffrent kind of climate change.
the other point to allude to is, despite of author opinion which is being confident about that by bieng genetically modifed, trees can grow faster and have much more sustenance and eccelarating the growth of trees, the proffessor assert that they also endanger nature trees becuase they are plant between them and they use their soil food and light they need to grow; so they are all wiped out.
the cost of being plant agian is one of the episode that is discused about which for nature trees you plant them free but for genteically modified one you should pay to the company you have bought the seed from for the first time so it is not even ecnomically suited.
to sum up the proffesor was really disagree about the concept of improving the gene of trees.
