task 1: expenditure on income groups
The bar chart compares expenditure on Hamburger, Fish & Chips and pizza by three different income groups in Britain in the year 1990.
Overall, It is clear from the bar chart that the expenditure on Hamburger by high income group was highest while the number for low income was Fish & Chips. Additionally, there was a significant difference in the figure for Hamburger and Fish & Chips by average income group in 1990.
The expenditure for Hamburger by high income group stood at about 42, which was the highest number of the whole chart, whereas only over 15 for Fish & Chips and under 20 for Pizza. At the same time, the number for average income group was lower at above 30, exactly 20, respectively. However, the expenditure on Hamburger by low income group made up with only nearly 15.
By contrast, only over 5 spent on pizza in the figure for low income group. There was about 16 in the number for Fish & Chips. This was followed by average income group at above 10.
