Men and women, because of their inherent physical differences, are not equally suited for many tasks.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position, be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.

One would say that men and women are not equally suited for many tasks because of their physical differences. Biologically speaking, men tend to have a more agile strength, stronger muscles and the ability to bear more physical and mental stress when compared to women. This has been one of the reasons in the past owing to which women generally weren't suited for most of the tasks that men were intended to do. Similarly, women were more skilled in more homely tasks than men which made women the master of the home. However, due to many revolutions and technological advancements, this common perception is changing and can be illustrated with certain examples and scenarios.

Today, in the sport's field, a majority of the sports, which had been initially introduced as a game of men, are being played by both the sexes. This holds true, not only in a specific locality, but internationally. For instance, sports like cricket, football, golf, hockey and many more have separate tournaments specifically introduced for women. This gives us a picture of how women of today are proving to be equally able in a field that was vastly dominated by men in earlier days.

Another domain which disproves this statement is engineering and manufacturing. The fact that men are physically more able than women essentially states that they are the perfect fit for jobs that demand extreme labourous work, especially in the field of engineering and manufacturing. But in today's world, the manufacturing field has undergone various transformation, one of them being 'automation', which indirectly tells us that most of the streneous work is being taken care of by machines and robots. Owing to this transformation, over time, men's roles have also become less labour-intensive and thus these roles are now-a-days easily taken up by women.

Similarly, "home-makers" – which earlier used to denote the women of the house, owing to the fact that men go to work and earn but women stay at home tending to all household chores – now-a-days doesn't necessarily denote only the women of the house. This is because of the revolution wherein men and women are to be considered equally in all aspects, and thereby, both men and women in today's houses work, earn as well as take part in doing all the household chores, for example, cooking, washing, cleaning etc.

In summation, the claim that men and women are not equally suited for many tasks because of their physical differences might have been held true in the past, but for sure is changing so as to not hold true. Though the physical strength of men or the household skills of women proved them to be the masters of their domain in the past, both of them are breaking stereotypes today to prove themselves worthy and suited in tasks from almost all domains, thereby proving that physical differences has little to do with the ability or success in the modern world.
