The graphs reveal the percentage about where people got their world and local news from 1987 to 1997. There are three different medias compare in the graph: television, newspaper and radio.

Generally, people got the information about world news was from television through the years. On the other hand, people used newspaper to access local news in the period of 1987 to 1997.

The using of television, newspaper and radio to access world news remained stable in the range of 65-67 percent, 20-25 percent, 9-11 percent respectively through the years. However, in the terms of getting local news, the pattern of newspaper figure was fluctuative, television used rose gradually from 19% in 1987 to 37% in 1997, radio remained stable in the range of 11-12%.

Interestingly, the figure of newspaper and television used in local news access showed a small gap which was only 3% in 1997, television was 37% and newspaper was 40% in detail.

To sum up, there was no significant change in the terms of how people use some medias to access local and global news.
