The given line graph compares the number of non-cash affairs in United Kingdom over the period 1991 to 2001. It is apparent that there are two basic general trend which is upward and downward trend.
Looking initially at the dominant trend, the most significant feature can be seen is the steep rise of the volume of transactions using debit cards. To be specific, from just nearly a half billion at the first surveyed year, this number grew sharply to 3 billion 2001.
