Numerous people think that children characteristics as a member of society are determined of how their parents teach them. However, others believe school is the best place to study attitude.
First of all, school is the first place where children as students obtain formal education. Their parents send them there and invest much money with subjection that their sons and daughters would have good manner among society. Physically, in the school, pupils have teachers who educate them about behavior with direct practice, for example how to communicate with their classmates in the right way. The common conversation between class partners is about borrowing a pen or pencil. Before teachers train them how to conduct the manner of begging stuff, students might not know and commit it in the harsh way.
On the other hand, parents are the first teacher for their sons and daughters, and house is the first school where they study. Therefore, parents should lead their children about common attitude in society. Greeting people that they have met is one of behavioral examples that children should be thought from their parents. Especially for several cultures in Indonesia, younger people should sniff olders’ hands on their forehead when shaking hand as culture sign. Moreover, children are pure creatures who could acquire knowledge by modeling. They might follow behavior that they see wherever they obtain it. This reason brings parents as the closest person of them should practice only good manner in front of their kids. They should avoid speaking harsh and telling any lies in order to transfer prime example for their children because people dislike a liar in common.
Even though every child obtains education related to manner and attitude in their school, parents should teach their son and daughter about the rule of society behavior.
