In 1985, car was being the most favorite vehicles in modes of travel with average distance 3199 miles per person. In the same year, taxi had the nearest distance as vehicle for travelling. People in England used taxi in travelling only as far as 13 miles each person per year.
Car occupied the longest distance number in modes of travel in 2000 as far as 4806 miles. Then followed by train, local bus and walking as another alternative modes of travel with slightly different average distances between 366 and 237 miles. Another vehicle such as local distance bus and taxi had nearer distance than the others and bicycle was a vehicle with the nearest distance 41 miles.
Based on the table, we can see that in 1985 and 2000 car was stable as the longest average distance in modes of travel.
