The table below gives information on consumer spending on different items in five different countries in 2002.

The table below illustrates the percentage of national consumer expenditure which is spend on three different categories by five European countries during 2002.

To begin with, food, drinks, and tobacco category has the highest percentage among all categories in each country. The percentage of national expenditure spent on this category by Turkish people is twice as much as Italians. All countries except Italy spent around 6% on clothing and footwear; however, people spent exactly 9% on this category in Italy. Leisure and education has the lowest percentage in all countries. Italy and Sweden spent approximately same percent on leisure and education.

In the final analysis, Turkey has the highest percentage in food, drink, and tobacco category as well as leisure and education; in contrast, Sweden has the lowest percentage in food, drinks, and tobacco and clothing or footwear. Besides, Spain has the lowest percentage in leisure and education category by just 1.98%.
