The pie charts given below illustrate the percentage of comparison average household expenditures in Japan and Malaysia in year 2010. Overall, it can be seen that housing was the biggest percentage in Malaysia. While, transport was the hugest percentage in Japan.

In Japan, the largest value was other goods and services, representing just over a quarter of all household, and it was still biggest percentage in Malaysia. Both of them just has low difference, which is Japan higher than Malaysia which was 3%. However housing was the second hugest percentage in Japan. While, housing was the biggest percentage in Malaysia.

In contrast, Malaysia the largest percentage was housing which was 34%, but housing was the third hugest percentage in Japan. Which is the second household was foods. Followed by transport and health care.
