The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
The bar chart compares the proportion of males and females from Australia who exercised regularly across different ages in the year of 2010.
It is clear that significantly more women went to do psychical trainings after the age of 25. We can also see that men were preferred to build their bodies compared to women at the age of 15 to 24.
Australian male youth between 15 and 24 clearly favoured building their bodies over women in Australia at the same age group, with 52.8% and 47.7% respectively. However, the scenario changed to the opposite at the remained age groups. From the age of 25 to 34, men were less active in working out, while almost half of Australian women enjoyed daily body training exercises. In the 35-to-44-age group, slightly less than 40% of men did their exercise regularly, comparing to 52.5% of women.
By the age of 45 to 64, the percentage of male physical activity went up to around 45%, whereas the proportion of women who did their physical training remained 8% higher. At last, the figures of the male and female senior citizens over the age of 65 from Australia did their daily exercise were almost the same, at approximately 47%.
